‘Tis the season to be thankful… so THANK YOU!

Updated: May 21

What an absolute whirlwind of a year!

2017 has been quite an adventure for so many people, and I’m sure yours has been just as busy and adventure packed as ours!

As Christmas draws in and the year comes to a close, I often find myself a little wistful at the year that we’ve had. But, as they say, all good things must come to an end. So bring on 2018!

But before the year finally closes, I would like to thank just a few people.

To the parents

Thank you for your tireless dedication and commitment to your children, and their education.

We know that, sometimes, more than a little patience is required of you. But without fail, you come through to provide the love and support that every child needs in order to grow and learn. And while sometimes the children themselves can be oblivious to it, I am truly grateful to be able to see the care that parents have, and the lengths they go to.

You are so very appreciated. Thank you.

To the students

Thank you for all your hard work throughout the year. As a parent or an educator, it can be easy to lose sight of the fact that studying and learning can be hard work for you too.

Thank you for taking what you do seriously, and allowing the people around to help you when they can. Thank you for putting in those hours, and helping yourself to grow and be the best that you can possibly be.

Without students, what teacher could possibly live their dream? Thank you.

To the Year 12s of 2017

For your patience, your endless hours of study, and doing your very best. Thank you. I know countless students who are brought to their knees in Year 12. I have seen smiles, laughs, and more than a few tears during the stressful time.

But you have come through on the other side a much stronger person, and have acheived something fantastic as a result.

You kept pushing, working, studying and learning. And most importantly, you never gave up. Thank you.

To our outstanding tutors

For the hours of work, care and attention you bring to every student you come in contact with, thank you.

You bring inspiration and education with you everywhere you go, which are two things whose value can not be measured.

From the very bottom of my heart – thank you.

To absolutely everyone

It is a gift to be able to work in education and meet hundreds of people each year who are passionate about the same things as me. To come into contact with students, parents, teachers, tutors, and those people who just bring smiles wherever they go.

No matter who you are, Christmas is a time to be thankful for all that is good.

So I wish you very happiest of Christmas, enjoy this wonderful time and I’m excited to see you all and do it all over again in 2018!
